Visit Us and Take the Scenic Route To Cape Breton!!

Great little place by the roadside, serving wonderfully prepared organic foods, friendly service, oldies music, quaint.”

This is NOT a tourist trap, but just the opposite. Our eggs were prepared perfectly to our specifications, with homemade bread, and organic coffee. There is a quaint gift shop with lots of local crafts. The owner waited on us in a very friendly way and there are 3 guest rooms.

What People Are Saying!

Sept 2011 Toronto http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/compuaid

After a week in the Halifax/Dartmouth area we were sightseeing along the

Eastern shore on our last day when we serendipitously stumbled across this hidden gem. The Tourist Trap is a small and very charming combination of east coast warmth and exquisite cuisine. The food here was by far the best we

had all week in Nova Scotia and the staff were professional yet definitely

Nova Scotia friendly. Our server Susan who is also the baker was

wonderful and warm and provided us with terrific service and

good conversation. The meals were incredible with the

pan seared haddock the best I've ever tasted. Also, not to

be missed is the Spinach, Apple and Pecan salad. Holly, the owner

and chef came out to greet us and check on our meal. Try and save

room for the homemade deserts as well but if you don't they'll box them up for you to take on the way. This was definitely a five-star experience at very reasonable prices.

Just wanted to say thank you for your hospitality and advice when we called in on Sunday Morning. We felt rested and relaxed and continued on to Martinique Beach as recommended. The  the picnic was excellent thank you. What a fantastic location we had a great time.

Wishing you all the best in the future and if we are lucky enough to complete our move to Canada we hope to make many more return trips.
