We are Celebrating our 5th year in Business, Come in to see what's new.

She was a Tourist and then she was Trapped!!

Michael was born and raised in Cape Breton Nova Scotia. Holly was born and raised in Alberta. They met, fell in love, and had a baby while living in Calgary. Holly had been to the east coast a few times and always loved the ocean and people. She decided one day that they should leave Calgary and head for Halifax.

With a bit of persuasion on Holly’s behalf Michael agreed to go. “I love it here, its captured me, I am never Leaving”. Since then they have moved to the Eastern Shore, where they had the opportunity to start a Shoppe, Café and Guest House with help from Holly’s parents.

After Holly and Michael had their second child, Holly started a company called Salt Marsh Sisters Wild Crafted Bath and Beauty. She sells her products out of The Tourist Trap Shoppe, along with Nova Scotia made arts, furniture local crafts and Holly’s fathers line of Designer Gemstone Jewelry.

Michael adds to the mix with his knowledge of building and running a restaurant and bar in Sydney, called Sid and Gids for 7 years.

We are pleased to be celebrating our fifth year at the business and we want to invite you to the beautiful Eastern Shore whether you are visiting friends or staying for a bit. Let The Tourist Trap “TRAP” you and stay a while. We look forward to meeting you.
